'Barry Van Dyke' (qv) is the second son of legendary entertainer, 'Dick Van Dyke' (qv). He has one older brother, 'Christian Van Dyke' (qv), and two younger sisters, 'Stacy Van Dyke' (qv) and 'Carrie Beth van Dyke' (qv). Barry's TV debut was as "Florian", a violin-toting nine-year-old in The 'Dick Van Dyke' (qv) Show: The Talented Neighborhood (1962) episode of the classic The 'Dick Van Dyke' (qv) Show (1961) show. He worked behind the scenes on subsequent ventures of his father's, and has co-starred with him in three series, _The Van Dyke Show (1988)_ (qv), _Diagnosis Murder (1993)_ (qv) and _Murder 101: Murder 101 (2006)_ (qv). Barry's other television work includes _Galactica 1980 (1980)_ (qv), _Airwolf (1984)_ (qv) (4th season), _Gun Shy (1983)_ (qv), _Mr. Mom (1983)_ (qv) and _The Redd Foxx Show (1986)_ (qv), as well as numerous guest appearances. His films include _Foxfire Light (1983)_ (qv), _Ants! (1977)_ (qv) (aka ANTS!) and _Casino (1980)_ (qv). Barry met his wife, Mary, when they were both sixteen and he was working as a ticket-taker at a neighborhood movie theatre. Seven years later, they were married. They have four children, 'Carey Van Dyke' (qv), 'Shane Van Dyke' (qv), 'Wes Van Dyke' (qv) and 'Taryn Van Dyke' (qv). All four children have guest-starred with their Dad and Grandpa, in scripts written by Barry, on _Diagnosis Murder (1993)_ (qv). Barry is an avid motorcyclist with special enthusiasm for dirt bikes. He has participated in protest rides to preserve the rights of motorcyclists to fair use of public lands.
