Born and raised in San Mateo, California, he graduated from Santa Clara University with a BA in Theatre Arts and was quickly headed to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of a career in Film and Television. He didn't have to wait long. A recurring role on _Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990)_ (qv) brought Michael the recognition he sought and he followed that with a starring role on the CBS Series _Pensacola: Wings of Gold (1997)_ (qv) opposite 'James Brolin' (qv) for two seasons. After that, he landed notable recurring roles on shows such as _Arli$$ (1996)_ (qv), _Sabrina the Teenage Witch (1996)_ (qv), _One Tree Hill (2003)_ (qv), _Castle (2009)_ (qv), _How I Met Your Mother (2005)_ (qv), _Revenge (2011)_ (qv), and the animated series _Young Justice (2010)_ (qv) as Adam Strange. Some of his most memorable guest appearances include _The Big Bang Theory: The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis (2008)_ (qv), _Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Smut (2008)_ (qv), _Criminal Minds: Angels (2014)_ (qv), _V: John May (2010)_ (qv), _Psych: Dead Man's Curveball (2011)_ (qv), and _Scandal: Baby Made a Mess (2014)_ (qv). He can be seen recurring on _Grandfathered (2015)_ (qv) on the FOX network. But he is perhaps best known for his portrayal of Samuel T. Anders on the critically acclaimed Sci-Fi series _Battlestar Galactica (2004)_ (qv) and for Justin Patrick on the USA Network series _Fairly Legal (2011)_ (qv). He can be seen in the thriller/horror films _Hush (2016)_ (qv), _The Bye Bye Man (2017)_ (qv), and _Hunter Killer (2018)_ (qv). He is currently starring in _Disjointed: Rutherford B.
