Beau Starr

'Beau Starr' (qv) is an American actors best known for his role as Sheriff Ben Meeker in the horror films _Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988)_ (qv) and _Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989)_ (qv), and for his long-running role in _Due South (1994)_ (qv) as Lt. Harding Welsh.Beau began acting in the early 1980s, taking guest roles in TV series such as _Knight Rider (1982)_ (qv), _Hill Street Blues (1981)_ (qv) and _The New Mike Hammer (1984)_ (qv). He soon switched to feature films, however, playing the unstable father of 'Judd Nelson' (qv) in 'William Lustig' (qv)'s _Relentless (1989)_ (qv), an equally violent father in 'Martin Scorsese' (qv)'s _Goodfellas (1990)_ (qv), and a police commissioner in 'Jan de Bont' (qv)'s _Speed (1994)_ (qv).He has since notched up over one hundred TV and film appearances including 'Oliver Stone' (qv)'s _Born on the Fourth of July (1989)_ (qv), _Trial by Jury (1994)_ (qv), _Devil in a Blue Dress (1995)_ (qv), and _Hoodlum (1997)_ (qv).More recently he starred in the _Masters of Horror (2005)_ (qv) episode 'Jennifer', directed by 'Dario Argento' (qv).He is the brother of actor 'Mike Starr' (qv).::Matt Lee-Williams
