Mitchell Ryan

American character actor born in Cincinnati and raised in Louisville, 'Mitchell Ryan' (qv) is a well known supporting actor in films and television. During his term in the Navy in 1951, he was assigned to the Special Services Entertainment and became hooked on acting. After his term in the Navy, he appeared in dozens of plays until he received notice as playing a regular in TV's _Dark Shadows (1966)_ (qv).Beginning in the 70s, he received work in motion pictures including _Monte Walsh (1970)_ (qv), _Magnum Force (1973)_ (qv) and in 'Clint Eastwood' (qv)'s _High Plains Drifter (1973)_ (qv). He had a small part in Universal's _Midway (1976)_ (qv) and returned to act in numerous soaps and television series, among them included a recurring guest role in _Having Babies (1978)_ (qv), _Executive Suite (1976)_ (qv), _The Chisholms (1979)_ (qv) and _All My Children (1970)_ (qv) and a growing list of television films and TV guest appearances. Ryan is probably best known for portraying the villain that 'Mel Gibson' (qv) and 'Danny Glover' (qv) are after in _Lethal Weapon (1987)_ (qv), but his career included several supporting roles in the past ten years including _Judge Dredd (1995)_ (qv), Michael Myers' nemesis in _Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995)_ (qv), _Liar Liar (1997)_ (qv) with 'Jim Carrey' (qv) and as 'Harrison Ford' (qv)'s chief out to get 'Brad Pitt' (qv) in _The Devil's Own (1997)_ (qv).::Anonymous
