John Ridgely

'John Ridgely' (qv) was a versatile character actor who made over 100 films at Warner Brothers during the 1930s and 1940s. Starting out in bit roles in such films as _Dark Victory (1939)_ (qv), _They Died with Their Boots On (1941)_ (qv) and _The Man Who Came to Dinner (1942)_ (qv), Ridgely eventually graduated to larger roles in such classics as 'Howard Hawks' (qv)' _Air Force (1943)_ (qv), _The Big Sleep (1946)_ (qv), _Destination Tokyo (1943)_ (qv) and _Possessed (1947)_ (qv).
