Angus Benfield

'Angus Benfield' (qv) was born in Sydney, Australia and started working in the film and television industry when he was 14. Landing his big break straight out of acting school as lead Lex in cult classic feature film _Lex and Rory (1994)_ (qv) directed by 'Dean Murphy' (qv), he then went on to act in Australian TV series _E Street (1989)_ (qv) as Cody Ryder alongside _The Mentalist (2008)_ (qv) 'Simon Baker' (qv).Angus married in 1999 and moved to New Zealand to star as Officer Tom in the New Zealand TV series _Kaitangata Twitch (2010)_ (qv). In 2005 Angus won the Best Actor award at the 48 Hour Film Festival and went on to star as lead Jack in the 2006 New Zealand indie feature film _Wait Up Harriet (2006)_ (qv), and as lead Pastor Luke in the 2010 feature film _The Holy Roller (2010)_ (qv).Angus moved to LA with his family in 2017 to star as lovable motivational speaker Fatty Melvin alongside _The Waltons (1972)_ (qv) 'Judy Norton' (qv) in the feature film _Motorvation (2022)_ (qv), for which he won Best Actor at the Canadian Cinematography 'Awards' (qv) and the New York Cinematography 'Awards' (qv) in 2020, and at the Eastern Europe International Movie 'Awards' (qv) in 2021. _Motorvation (2022)_ (qv) was released throughout the US in May 2022. In 2019 Angus starred as the illegal casino owner Willy 'Superfat' Hollingsworth on CBS's _NCIS: Los Angeles (2009)_ (qv) alongside 'LL Cool J' (qv), 'Eric Christian Olsen' (qv) and 'Chris O'Donnell' (qv) and played real-life lawyer Paul Hoffman in the feature film _A Fire Within (2022)_ (qv).Angus starred as lead Jonathan Stone alongside Hollywood icon 'Eric Roberts' (qv) in the feature film _Heaven (2020)_ (qv), which was released throughout the US in October 2020. Most recently, Angus co-starred as Steve Lagos in the 2022 'Shonda Rhimes' (qv) American drama miniseries for Netflix, _Inventing Anna (2022)_ (qv), and as lead Jake in the feature film _Yellow Bird_ (qv), due for release in 2023.Angus is an incredibly versatile actor who brings depth, dramatic poise, and a rare genius for comedic acting to his roles.
