Karyn Parsons

'Karyn Parsons' (qv) decided to go into acting at the age of 13. She had her first TV role in the NBC drama _The Bronx Zoo (1987)_ (qv), but she made her big break as 'Will Smith' (qv)'s cousin "Hilary Banks" on the NBC sitcom _The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (1990)_ (qv). During the show's six-year run, she starred in movies such as _Class Act (1992)_ (qv) and _Major Payne (1995)_ (qv). After _The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (1990)_ (qv), she starred in the short-lifted sitcom _Lush Life (1996)_ (qv), co-starring 'Lori Petty' (qv), which only lasted three episodes before it was canceled. In 1998, she starred in her first lead role in the award-winning movie _Mixing Nia (1998)_ (qv). She guest-starred in TV sitcoms before starring in _13 Moons (2002)_ (qv), in which she met her husband, director 'Alexandre Rockwell' (qv), whom she married in 2003.
