'Steve Miner' (qv) has had a very popular career in making films and remains one of Hollywood's most prolific directors and has worked with a variety of stars that includes 'Jamie Lee Curtis' (qv), 'Leslie Nielsen' (qv), 'C. Thomas Howell' (qv), 'Tom Arnold' (qv), 'Amy Steel' (qv) 'Rick Moranis' (qv), and 'Bill Pullman' (qv).Before becoming a director, Miner worked as an editor for 'Wes Craven' (qv) and 'Sean S. Cunningham' (qv) on several occasions, helping bring the notorious rape/murder film _The Last House on the Left (1972)_ (qv) to the screen. He worked for Cunningham again in 1980 on _Friday the 13th (1980)_ (qv) as an associate producer. The following year he was hired to direct its sequels _Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981)_ (qv) and _Friday the 13th Part III (1982)_ (qv). Miner also directed the comedy, _Soul Man (1986)_ (qv) and moved onto a serious drama _Forever Young (1992)_ (qv) in 1992. Returning to comedy with 'Rick Moranis' (qv) and 'Tom Arnold' (qv), he made _Big Bully (1996)_ (qv) and returned back to horror with the very successful _Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998)_ (qv) and the under water/comedy thriller _Lake Placid (1999)_ (qv). His recent film _Texas Rangers (2001)_ (qv) with young upcoming Hollywood stars isn't bad either. Nearly all films have been successful and/or a box office hit.::Anonymous
