Ted McGinley

Theodore Martin 'Ted' McGinley was born on May 30, 1958 in Newport Beach, California. He is perhaps best known for his long-running roles in the television series _Happy Days (1974)_ (qv), _The Love Boat (1977)_ (qv), _Dynasty (1981)_ (qv), _Married... with Children (1987)_ (qv) and _The West Wing (1999)_ (qv). Formerly a male model, McGinley was spotted by a casting director after appearing in the GQ magazine, and was subsequently offered the role of Roger Phillips in _Happy Days (1974)_ (qv). However, the veteran television star is no stranger to film either, having appeared in a string of features including _Young Doctors in Love (1982)_ (qv), _Revenge of the Nerds (1984)_ (qv), _Wayne's World 2 (1993)_ (qv), _Major League: Back to the Minors (1998)_ (qv) and _Pearl Harbor (2001)_ (qv).::Matt Lee-Williams
