Arthur Crabtree
بیوگرافی
'Arthur Crabtree' (qv) began his film career as an assistant camera operator at British International Pictures, and it was at Gainsborough Pictures that he became a full-fledged Director of Photography in 1935. He photographed such films as _The Remarkable Mr. Kipps (1941)_ (qv), _The Man in Grey (1943)_ (qv) and _Waterloo Road (1945)_ (qv). His ambition, however, was to become a director, and he got his chance with _Madonna of the Seven Moons (1945)_ (qv). His career started to fade in the 1950s and he turned to directing in television, with the occasional foray back into films, mainly in somewhat lower-grade "B" horror pictures. His most notable among them were probably the "cult classic" sci-fi thriller _Fiend Without a Face (1958)_ (qv) and _Horrors of the Black Museum (1959)_ (qv), his final film.::[email protected]
