Rob McLoughlin

I was born in Liverpool, the eldest of 5, and grew up in nearby Southport. I didn't take too well to school but I did excel in Art, English and sport. After graduating high school and attending art school, I started my early career as a chef. The hard work, early mornings, late nights and tough, hot conditions appealed to me and gave me a very strong work ethic. I worked in Spain and the UK culminating with me owning a restaurant which, despite my best efforts, ultimately failed. I then decided on a different course for my life. I moved to London at the age of 24 and was spotted on my third day by a modeling agent whilst I was buying a coffee. I spent the next 3 years working on campaigns for Calvin Klein, Littlewoods Catalogue, Pepe Jeans London among others until I got a role at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. My first time on stage. A big stage at that, and the role... required full nudity. However, I never felt the nerves and spent the next 8 years learning stage combat and aerial work. I gained a lot of confidence, learned how to talk to adults (met most of the royal family) and discovered my love of acting. I quickly changed agent from modeling to acting and began getting roles in short films and commercials. I never looked back. Now with over 20 years experience I have written full screen plays, directed, and appeared in countless film, TV, commercials, music videos, and been on stages in countries around the world. My most recent work includes 2 feature films, as well as Wheel of Time for Amazon Prime/Sony and When Nobody Sees Us (Cuando Nadie Nos Ve) for HBO MAX (Both streamers to be released early 2025). I live in Barcelona, Spain with my wife and young son. I still cook every day.
