James McDaniel

For seven seasons, acclaimed stage, screen and television actor 'James McDaniel' (qv) portrayed Lt. Arthur Fancy on legendary television series _NYPD Blue (1993)_ (qv). McDaniel recently completed shooting _The Battle for Bunker Hill (2008)_ (qv), with director 'Kevin Willmott' (qv) (CSA: Confederate States of America). McDaniel stars alongside 'Saeed Jaffrey' (qv) (Gandhi), and is also Executive Producer. Other recent films include _War Eagle, Arkansas (2007)_ (qv), _Living Hell (2008)_ (qv) and _El Cortez (2006)_ (qv).McDaniel received an Emmy and a Peabody Award for his performance in _Edge of America (2003)_ (qv) and an Emmy Award nomination for Public Television's _Storytime (1992)_ (qv). An accomplished stage actor, he won the prestigious Obie Award and was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for his portrayal of Wendall in the New York stage production of Before It Hits Home. He co-hosted the ABC special _More Secrets Revealed (1995)_ (qv).Born and raised in Washington, D.C., McDaniel attended the University of Pennsylvania, majoring in veterinary medicine.
