Robert Loggia

Born and raised in New York City, 'Robert Loggia' (qv) studied journalism at the University of Missouri before moving back to New York to pursue acting. He trained at the Actors Studio while doing stage work. From the late 1950s he was a familiar face on TV, usually as authoritative figures. Loggia also found work in movies such as _The Greatest Story Ever Told (1965)_ (qv), _Scarface (1983)_ (qv) and _Big (1988)_ (qv). Always in demand, Loggia worked until his death, at 85, from complications of Alzheimer's.::J. M. Rice
