Joanna Vanderham

Joanna grew up in Scotland. She trained at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. It was here she was 'spotted' by casting director 'Emma Style' (qv), which led to her first professional role as 'Cathy' in _The Runaway (2010)_ (qv) together with 'Keith Allen' (qv), 'Ken Stott' (qv), 'Alan Cumming' (qv) and 'Jack O'Connell' (qv) . The excellent range of her subtle performances includes notable TV and film works such as 'Stephen Poliakoff' (qv)'s _Dancing on the Edge (2013)_ (qv), _The Paradise (2012)_ (qv), _Banished (2015)_ (qv), _Retribution (2016)_ (qv), _What Maisie Knew (2012)_ (qv) and _Warrior (2019)_ (qv). Her superb stage work as a brilliant theatre artist also includes her exquisite interpretations as Lika in 'Aleksei Arbuzov' (qv)'s "The Promise" (London's Donmar Warehouse, 2012) and Milly in 'Richard Greenberg' (qv)'s "The Dazzle" (Soho Theatre, 2015-16) alongside 'Andrew Scott' (qv) and 'David Dawson' (qv), as well as her remarkable Shakespearean performances as Desdemona in _Othello (2015)_ (qv) and as Lady Anne in _Richard III (2016)_ (qv) (Almeida Theatre) with 'Hugh Quarshie' (qv) and 'Ralph Fiennes' (qv) in the title roles respectively.::premmier and Markos.
