A spanish cult director, author of Day of the Beast (_The Day of the Beast (1995)_ (qv)) and _Mutant Action (1993)_ (qv) have their own very strong but small followings, and Dance With the Devil (_Perdita Durango (1997)_ (qv)) will go down in history as probably the weirdest 'Javier Bardem' (qv) film ever made (it was released in the US only a few years before _Before Night Falls (2000)_ (qv)).Belongs to the "unofficial" new generation of Hispanic filmmakers which includes 'Guillermo del Toro' (qv) (Mexican), 'Alejandro G.
