Kathryn Howell

'Kathryn Howell' (qv) is an American actress known for a wide variety of character roles in film and television. She has played grieving Moms (_Criminal Minds (2005)_ (qv), _The Zodiac (2005)_ (qv), _Cry in the Wild: The Taking of Peggy Ann (1991)_ (qv)), was terrified by a giant flying peach (_James and the Giant Peach (1996)_ (qv)), and snatched at gunpoint by Sean Penn (_The Assassination of Richard Nixon (2004)_ (qv). She has been a drug addict, a homeless woman, and 'John Heard' (qv)'s alcoholic ex-wife (_Necessity (1988)_ (qv)). On the lighter side Kathryn has had the privilege of portraying a backwoods psychic (Ray McKinnon's _Chrystal (2004)_ (qv)), a conjoined twin in a 1930's freak show (_Tales from the Crypt (1989)_ (qv)), and a sassy diner waitress opposite Vincent D'Onofrio and Gregory Hines (_Good Luck (1996)_ (qv)).A life long actor, Kathryn has worked extensively on stage, holds a BFA in Theatre from UNC-Chapel Hill, and received a full scholarship for advanced study at American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco. Kathryn is a long-time member of SAG, AFTRA (SAG-AFTRA), and AEA. She received her AEA card at New York's Vivian Beaumont Theatre.::PR
