Marco Hofschneider

Born in Berlin in 1969, Marco was raised in his home town as the youngest of three brothers. His acting career started somewhat unexpectedly when he was cast to play lead in the award-winning feature _Europa Europa (1990)_ (qv) in 1989. The same year Marco played a disabled boy in the German TV play _Hurenglück (1991)_ (qv). After taking actors classes in Berlin und Paris he played the title role in French-American co-production _Foreign Student (1994)_ (qv). In 1994 Marco moved to Los Angeles where he played in _Immortal Beloved (1994)_ (qv) (with 'Gary Oldman' (qv)), in _The Island of Dr. Moreau (1996)_ (qv) (with 'Marlon Brando' (qv) and 'Val Kilmer' (qv)), and in _Urban Legends: Final Cut (2000)_ (qv). In Germany Marco could be seen in _008 - Agent wider Willen (2000)_ (qv), _Die Cleveren (1998)_ (qv), _Alarm für Cobra 11 - Die Autobahnpolizei (1996)_ (qv), _Wolffs Revier (1992)_ (qv), _Tatort (1970)_ (qv), _A Case for Two (1981)_ (qv), and other TV features. On stage he performed as Romeo in 'Romeo and Juliette' and as Constantin in 'The Seagull' (in German). In 1997 Marco began taking directors classes at the University of California, and subsequently enrolled in studies of photography. As an actor, Marco's most recent performance was in _Luther (2003)_ (qv). Marco is a scuba diving enthusiast and likes to play piano.
