Peter Hall

Sir 'Peter Hall' (qv) directed his first play while he was still a student. He soon achieved prominence as a stage director. He started his occasional film work in 1968 with _Work Is a 4-Letter Word (1968)_ (qv). He was the Artistic Director of The Royal Shakespeare Company, Stratford-upon-Avon from 1960 - 1968.
