بیوگرافی
'Charles Halford' (qv) was born on February 28, 1980 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is an actor, known for _True Detective (2014)_ (qv), _Constantine (2014)_ (qv), and _Logan Lucky (2017)_ (qv), as a voice actor he is known for _The Death and Return of Superman (2019)_ (qv), _Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure (2017)_ (qv), and _Rise of the Tomb Raider (2015)_ (qv). He moved to Los Angeles in 2008.Charles began performing in school plays in middle school, and continued winning great roles on stage throughout high school, competing successfully in state, regional, and national dram competitions. He was a state champion and student coach in the categories of pantomime, contemporary scenes for the stage, and one act plays. He was awarded the highly coveted "Performer of the Year'' by his local paper, The Murray Eagle in 1998 for his cumulative performances in the crowd-favored roles of Lenny, in John Steinbeck depression era drama, 'Of Mice and Men,' Bill Sykes in in the Musical Oliver!, and Joe Benjamin in Neil Simon's hilarious biblical spin 'God's Favorite.' He was awarded a full-ride theater scholarship by The College of Eastern Utah, which he happily accepted only to abandon after his freshman year to pursue film and television work and punk rock music back in Salt Lake City, as well as to be nearer his father whose health was beginning to decline. His father passed in 2004, but not before having the privilege of seeing his son work opposite Anthony Hopkins in The World's Fastest Indian, as well as enjoying some of Charles' other early success and struggle, such as being cast, yet ultimately cut from Steven Soderbergh's Ocean's 11, where he was blessed to work opposite the late-great Bernie Mac. An experience deeply cherished and highly formative for the young, eager, big-time-actor-in-the-making. More opportunities with more A-list talent would be in the pipeline in the years to follow, exponentially so. Fifteen years later Halford reconnected with Soderbergh for another heist, when he was cast in the independent darling Logan Lucky.Charles credits working as a "stock actor" for The Sundance Institute Directing Lab as his most profound and relevant professional training. It was at these labs where Charles would meet and work with some of the hottest up-and-coming directors of the 21st century, including Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre, Taika Waititi, Cary Joji Fukunaga, Dito Montiel and many others. Some of whom have collaborated with Charles since working together at the labs. Others, Charles hopes to have the opportunity to reconnect and work with in the future. The most noteworthy collaboration at the time of this writing was with Fukunaga on the first season of True Detective when Charles was cast to portray the deeply unsettling role of Reggie Ledoux, the gas-mask wearing, machete carrying boogeyman of "black stars, "flat circles," and "Carcosa,' dialogue and infamy. This character and Halford's embodiment of him, got industry attention, and would help establish Charles as a bold and noteworthy character actor amid "The Golden Age of Television." Charles was subsequently cast as a series regular on network television, in the straight role, the right-hand-man-and-muscle to the title character of NBC's Constantine, a short-lived but well-received adaptation of the cult-classic DC/Vertigo comic "John Constantine, Hellblazer." He has also brought to life, and very often died for, pivotal and dynamic characters within some of the most buzzed-about, beloved, iconic, and noteworthy shows of the 21st century such as NBC's _Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999)_ (qv), Sundance/AMC's critically-acclaimed original series _Rectify (2013)_ (qv), and AMC's behemoth _The Walking Dead (2010)_ (qv).::xeyex
