Elaine Giftos

After a youthful career in the New York City Ballet under the guidance of the famed dance-master 'George Balanchine' (qv), 'Elaine Giftos' (qv) starred on Broadway, before moving to Hollywood to act in movies and on TV. She has co-starred with 'Barbra Streisand' (qv) and 'Jack Nicholson' (qv), with 'Woody Allen' (qv) and 'Gene Wilder' (qv), and with 'Burt Reynolds' (qv), among other major stars, in motion pictures. She has starred in over fifty TV series, such as Emmy-winners _Ally McBeal (1997)_ (qv), _Magnum, P.I. (1980)_ (qv), _Murder, She Wrote (1984)_ (qv), _Three's Company (1976)_ (qv), and the sci-fi cult hit _War of the Worlds (1988)_ (qv), as well as starring in many award-winning movies for television.
