Vanessa Angel

British-born 'Vanessa Angel' (qv) began her career at age 14 as a model, when she was discovered by world-renowned agent, 'Eileen Ford' (qv). She gained much life experience by traveling the world, relocating to New York and appearing on many magazine covers, including "Vogue" and "Cosmopolitan". Her transition from modeling to acting came in 1985, when she was chosen by director 'John Landis' (qv) to play a Russian spy in _Spies Like Us (1985)_ (qv). She honed her craft by studying with 'Sondra Lee' (qv) and became a member of The Actor's Studio in New York in 1987, studying with 'Frank Corsaro' (qv). This led to roles in films including _King of New York (1990)_ (qv), _Sleep with Me (1994)_ (qv) and _Kingpin (1996)_ (qv), from The Farrelly Brothers with 'Woody Harrelson' (qv) and 'Bill Murray' (qv), _Kissing a Fool (1998)_ (qv) with 'David Schwimmer' (qv) and 'Jason Lee' (qv). She has been in many films in the past few years including Paramount's _The Perfect Score (2004)_ (qv) with 'Scarlett Johansson' (qv) and opposite 'Jon Voight' (qv) in _Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2 (2004)_ (qv). In addition to her film work, Angel starred in the hit series, _Weird Science (1994)_ (qv), on the USA Network.The unique range of characters earned her critical recognition for her comedic timing. She has played many roles on television, including the recurring role of police officer "Peggy Elliot" on NBC's _Reasonable Doubts (1991)_ (qv) with 'Mark Harmon' (qv) and 'Marlee Matlin' (qv), and a recent recurring role on _Stargate SG-1 (1997)_ (qv). Most recently, she played herself in HBO's popular show, _Entourage (2004)_ (qv), where she played opposite 'Kevin Dillon' (qv), who she had also starred opposite in _Out for Blood (2004)_ (qv). She also recently starred in the Lifetime movie, _Criminal Intent (2005)_ (qv), and just finished the independent film, _Blind Ambition (2008)_ (qv), and the comedy, _Endless Bummer (2009)_ (qv). She reconnected with The Farrelly Bros in _Hall Pass (2011)_ (qv) and made a memorable guest appearance in Showtime's _Californication (2007)_ (qv).
