Lucas Hedges

'Lucas Hedges' (qv) is an American actor, known for playing Patrick Chandler in _Manchester by the Sea (2016)_ (qv), which earned him an Academy Award nomination.Hedges was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York, the second child of poet and actress 'Susan Bruce' (qv) and Oscar-nominated screenwriter and director 'Peter Hedges' (qv). He began regularly appearing in major films in the early 2010s, with his role as "Redford" in Wes Anderson's _Moonrise Kingdom (2012)_ (qv), as well as _Kill the Messenger (2014)_ (qv), _Lady Bird (2017)_ (qv), and _Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017)_ (qv).In 2018, he played the older brother in _Mid90s (2018)_ (qv), and turned from supporting work to starring roles, giving critically-acclaimed performances in two films about young men in jeopardy, _Boy Erased (2018)_ (qv), where he plays a teenager sent to a gay conversion therapy clinic, and _Ben Is Back (2018)_ (qv), as a drug-addict returning home for the holidays. In 2019, he starred as a 'Shia LaBeouf' (qv) stand-in in the biographical film _Honey Boy (2019)_ (qv), sharing the role with 'Noah Jupe' (qv) (despite an admitted lack of physical resemblance).
