Zee James

'Zee James' (qv) is both an actress and a professional stunt woman who delivers an entire category of clues about The Physics of Taekwondo during this 36th season of Jeopardy!. This Fall she'll appear on CBS's The Neighborhood and Amazon's 6th Season of Bosch opposite Lance Reddick. She also appears in the second season of NBC's Good Girls, opposite Christina Hendricks and Matthew Lillard. Recently, Zee could also be seen on the FX series Snowfall and plays the role of Monique on the Netflix series Dear White People, opposite Nia Long. Out now you can catch Zee on Netflix's Dolemite Is My Name, starring Eddie Murphy.Originally from Tupelo, Mississippi, Zee moved to Los Angeles with $500 in her pocket and a dream in her heart. Her first recurring role was as "Adult Tonya" in the TV comedy series Everybody Hates Chris in which Zee was commended for her "comedic timing" and "appealing demeanor." The one-time costar appearance soon evolved into a recurring role.Zee's passion for stunts grew out of her love for athletics and martial arts. A college track star and competitor in Taekwondo, Zee met actor and martial artist, Michael Jai White while training and through him was introduced to Hollywood stunt coordinator, William Washington. It was William (Billy) who hired Zee her first stunt job. As a stunt performer, Zee's work is featured in Grey's Anatomy, How To Get Away With Murder, The L Word: Generation Q, Scandal, Lucifer, S.W.A.T., Why Women Kill and American Horror Story...to name a few.Zee was last seen on the big screen in Black Panther, Captain America: Civil War, Straight Outta Compton and appears in other films such as Life Partners and Epic Movie. In addition, Zee can be found in over a dozen national commercials for brands including Walgreens, American Airlines, Microsoft, Nationwide, Coors Light, Exxon Mobil and McDonald's.Besides acting, Zee is an avid traveler and travel enthusiast and in just a short time she's already working alongside some well known brands.
