Kristofer Hivju

A second-generation Norwegian actor, 'Kristofer Hivju' (qv) was born on 7 December, 1978 in Oslo. He is the son of actors 'Lieselotte Holmene' (qv) and 'Erik Hivju' (qv), a prominent character actor who appeared with his son in the short film Flax, where Kristofer shared screenwriting credit with director 'Bård Ivar Engelsås' (qv).Kristofer made his American Film debut in Matthijs van Heijningen Jr.'s 2011 prequel of 'John Carpenter' (qv)'s _The Thing (2011)_ (qv). Next he was seen in 'M. Night Shyamalan' (qv)'s _After Earth (2013)_ (qv) but he is most recognizable as fan favorite Tormund Giantsbane on HBO's _Game of Thrones (2011)_ (qv).::C Paulson
