Stephanie Zari

Stephanie is an award winning filmmaker whose shorts have achieved festival, critical, online and broadcast success screening at OSCAR, BAFTA and BIFA qualifying festivals worldwide. Her short film Marigolds was acquired and broadcast on BBC HD Shorts and won Best Director at Underwire Film Festival. Her second short film DAWN was BAFTA long-listed and her short BEING KEEGAN, starring Stephen Graham, is available to stream on Amazon Prime.Stephanie is the Creator, Director and EP of comedy horror House Hack, a live-action interactive feature film which was commissioned by Whatifi, the social story-hacking platform for original interactive films. HOUSE HACK was produced under her banner FORGE FILMS, which she founded in 2017. The film features Ann Akin, Amer Chadha Patel, Jenny Funnell and introduces newcomer Amanda Shodeko. , it will launch in spring 2021.ZEBRA GIRL is her debut feature which she also Co-Produced and developed the screen story for from the critically acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe Festival play 'Catherine & Anita'. The film has sales representation with AMP.In 2017 her feature film IN OUR BLOOD was Awarded Creative England/BFI Emerging Talent Development Funds for script completion. The screenplay was a semi-finalist in the Shore Scripts feature competition. The project received further development through the 2017 Birds Eye View/BFI FILMONOMICS program, 2018's EIFF Talent Lab and Galway Film Market. Stephanie was chosen for the 2018 BAFTA x CREW Talent Programme for writers, directors and producers and is also a mentor for the BAFTA/BFI Film Academy Alumni Programme. In 2018 she received the 2018 John Brabourne Award to support script completion of IN OUR BLOOD and is currently at financing stage.Stephanie is a UK and US citizen and is a member of Director's UK, WGGB, and Cinesisters. Having started as an actress, she subsequently forged a successful career as a First Assistant Director and Promo Producer after graduating from the Met Film School in the UK, working with top tier talent, broadcasters and production companies including BBC, BFI, Channel 5, Sky Vision and Netflix in between writing and making her own films.Stephanie currently has several film and TV projects in development.::Annonymous
