'Zoie Palmer' (qv) is an English-Canadian actress, born in Calne, Wiltshire, England, to parents of Irish and British descent. She earned her B.F.A. at York University in Toronto, Canada, in 2001; and has since been featured in a variety of film and television projects, including the critically acclaimed _The Reagans (2003)_ (qv) as Patti Reagan and _Out of the Ashes (2003)_ (qv) as Didi Goldstein; and starred as Abby in _Devil's Perch (2005)_ (qv). Palmer has guest-starred in several television series, such as The CW action drama _Nikita (2010)_ (qv) in the episode "Girl's Best Friend" as Anya Vimer; in the HBO Canada comedy _Call Me Fitz (2010)_ (qv) episode "Don of Differently Abled" as Laura (2011); and the CTV crime drama _The Listener (2009)_ (qv) episode "The Shooting" as Staff Sgt. McCoy (2012). She had a recurring role in the popular CTV music drama _Instant Star (2004)_ (qv) as rock singer Patsy Sewer (2006-2007); was a co-lead in the Global drama _The Guard (2008)_ (qv) as Carly Greig; and starred as Dr. Lauren Lewis in the groundbreaking Showcase supernatural drama _Lost Girl (2010)_ (qv). Zoie played the main role of The Android in the science fiction series _Dark Matter (2015)_ (qv). Film work includes the award winning short _Terminal Venus (2003)_ (qv) as Annabelle; horror thriller _Devil (2010)_ (qv) as Cheryl; crime thriller _Cold Blooded (2012)_ (qv) as officer Frances Jane; comedy _Sex After Kids (2013)_ (qv) as Lou; and the fantasy adventure _Patch Town (2014)_ (qv) as Bethany. In 2011, 'Zoie Palmer' (qv) was nominated for "Outstanding Performance - Female" by ACTRA for her performance as Haley in _The Untitled Work of Paul Shepard (2010)_ (qv). She was awarded "Best Actor" for "Terminal Venus" at the 2004 Baja Film Festival (Mexico), and the "Gold Medallion Acting Award for Best Actress in a Feature Film" for "Cold Blooded" by the 2012 BareBones International Film Festival (US).
